Whether your fries come from the air fryer, the oven or a paper bag, a dipping sauce flight makes them feel like an event. Each of these takes under five minutes.

  1. Fry sauce

    • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
    • 2 tablespoons ketchup
    • 1 teaspoon pickle brine
    • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

    Stir together until pale pink.

Good with: Fries, burgers, onion rings

  2. Garlic-Parmesan aioli

    • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
    • 2 tablespoons finely grated Parmesan
    • 1 small garlic clove, grated
    • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
    • 1 pinch black pepper

Mix and rest for 10 minutes.

Good with: Shoestring fries, roasted potatoes

  3. Curry ketchup

    • 1/2 cup ketchup
    • 1 teaspoon curry powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
    • 1 teaspoon honey
    • 1 teaspoon cider vinegar

Stir together, or warm briefly to bloom the spices.

Good with: Fries, sausages, chicken nuggets

  4. Malt vinegar mayo

    • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
    • 1 tablespoon malt vinegar
    • 1 pinch salt
    • 1 pinch black pepper

Whisk until smooth. Malt vinegar contains barley (gluten).

Good with: Thick-cut fries, fish and chips

  5. Cajun mayo

    • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
    • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
    • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
    • 1 dash hot sauce

Stir together; add more seasoning for heat.

Good with: Sweet potato fries, shrimp

  6. Hot honey mustard

    • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
    • 2 tablespoons honey
    • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
    • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce

    Whisk until smooth.

Good with: Waffle fries, chicken tenders, pretzels
