Mayonnaise-, yogurt- and dairy-based sauces are best within 4 to 5 days. Oil-and-vinegar sauces and cooked tomato or barbecue sauces keep about a week or longer.
Can I freeze homemade sauces?
Tomato sauces, pesto and barbecue sauces freeze well for up to 3 months. Mayonnaise- and dairy-based sauces do not freeze well.
