Build a balanced smoothie from what you have: choose a liquid, up to three frozen fruits, something creamy and a few extras, and get amounts that work.

Your recipe · 1 large smoothie

Strawberries Banana Smoothie

  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup frozen strawberries
  • 3/4 cup frozen banana, sliced
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt

Method

  1. Add the liquid first, then the soft ingredients, then the frozen fruit.
  2. Using fresh fruit instead of frozen? Add a handful of ice.
  3. Too thick? Add liquid a splash at a time. Too thin? Add more frozen fruit.
  4. Blend on high until completely smooth, 45 to 60 seconds. Taste and adjust.
